I created this web page to share my collecting interest and material from my research database on my own collection. I also include a bibliography of the bayonet and firearms reference books in my library, a listing of my published articles, and some additional bayonet-related reference materials. My personal collecting interests are international bayonets of all eras and military rifles from the 1870’s through World War II.
I do not consider myself to be an advanced collector, because I am neither highly specialized nor particularly well-financed. This site is focused on strategies for finding nice pieces in out-of-the-way places and on identifying and researching your finds. I also hope to inspire more young people to become collectors and keep our vocation to preserve this history alive.
